#R2BC 2013!

Reasons to be Cheerful at Mummy from the Heart
My first R2BC post this year! I could say I haven't got off to a very good start by having an awful chest infection for the last 3 weeks, but that's not very cheerful is it?!

This year so far I have put up some curtains in the downstairs rooms. We moved into this house in Nov 2011 and have put up with the awful blinds as there has always been something more important to do. We were given some curtain poles by my sister so I have finally put up the curtains. I am amazed at the difference it has made. It feels much more homely and warmer too.

We have also bought a new shower curtain which makes the bathroom look much lighter. It is a fabric one rather than the thick plastic one that came with the house.

My Dad has finished papering the boys new room today. This makes me VERY happy indeedydoo! My brother in law came to stay for 3 months last August. When he left we thought we would stay sleeping in the boys room so we could decorate the other bedroom without having to sleep in it too. Yes, this means we have been sharing a room with our two babies for 5 months!! None of us are sleeping very well because of it so it will be fabulous to have our own room again. It also means a lot of their toys can go upstairs too out of the living room which will be nice and easier to tidy!

A rather domestic list this week but I have been waiting to get these things done for soooo long it feels like a huge achievement to finally tick them off the list!

  11. I know the sense of releif of getting a room back to yourself! Our building project took nearly a year rather than the planned 6 months and when i look back on how squashed in we were during that time, i don't know how we coped. I remember how nice it was to get some useable space back - enjoy it! x
