Routine - My Magic Moment!

I'm linking this post up with the lovely Jaime from Oliver's Madhouse for my Magic Moment this week. Having read the title I'm sure you are wondering why a routine would be considered magic when it makes most people cringe. Fear not, I will explain....

As I'm sure you have read in my last few posts, things have not been plain sailing here lately. My anxiety has reared it's ugly head and sent me off on a wobble. When it hits, I find it very difficult to concentrate on even the simplest of tasks. Even making a cup of tea can be a real struggle as I find it hard to remember the order of things. Mundane tasks suddenly become very tiring as they require a huge amount of concentration and effort. With small, regular tasks being a problem, working out what to have for tea and then cooking it can just be totally overwhelming at times.

Today, I have taken the bull by the horns and written everything down so each day has a basic structure. I have a daily routine so the littlies can have a pattern to their day and will know what to expect. I've written a list of jobs for Big to do. I've done a weekly meal planner which will also help reduce our shopping bill, (I hope!) Finally, I have done a bedtime sheet so the littlies know what happens at bedtime. If anyone else has to put them to bed it will be easier if they know the basic plan and the toads are less likely to play up!

Now I realise this is going to see pretty basic to a lot of you but I have been trying to get my tiny mind together to do this for weeks which is why I have linked it up as a Magic Moment. For me it is a step closer to getting back to normal.

Tomorrow I am going to attempt to laminate them all. Wish me luck!!
