My 3 Things...

Confessions of a Single Parent Pessimist

Well, another week has flown by and I'm linking up with Claire from Confessions of a Single Parent Pessimist again to see howour weeks have been.

3 Things That Didn't Go Well This Week

1. The boys haven't been sleeping well this week so I have been feeling quite tired and had some low days.

2. I haven't spent much time just sitting and playing with the boys.

3. Other than washing and washing up I haven't done any housework (and its starting to show...).

3 Things I Want To Focus On Next Week

1. Trying to do a bit of housework every day.

2. Spend half an hour just playing with the boys.

3. Writing letters and doing my craft swaps :)

3 Things That Have Gone Well This Week

1. We finished decorating Bigs room (until we can afford new curtains and a wardrobe!)

2. I have managed to entertain the boys most days and taken them out more than last week.

3. I have taken my iron every day and napped when I needed it.

I think I have improved the three things to focus on from last week. I also realise I am being a little hard on myself in how much I am hoping to get done in a day. Maybe I should focus on that a bit too and go easy on myself...

  1. You definitely need to go more easy on yourself!
You feel you havent spent much time with the boys, but you have also recognised that you have done a lot more with them this week, so I think you are achieving more than you realise!

Dont worry about the house not looking too clean- I am learning that those things can wait, once the kids grow up, we dont get that time back! I am rubbish, as I sometimes prefer to fill my head with housework to avoid feeling down on my tired days, but it then means i feel guilty for not playing with Chunk much... guilt is such an awful thing!

'Well done for redecorating- I am thinking about decoupaging my wardrobes and his, rather than buying new ones, using pva, paint and wallpaper samples!!

    Thanks for joining up #My3Things

    1. You're right, I do get more done than I realise but there is always so much more to do isn't there?!

Unfortunately, at the moment, we are all sharing one wardrobe so we may have to buy a new one. I have a chest of drawers that I'm thinking of decoupaging. I have no idea where to put it yet so haven't even brought it home from my friends house!! Will blog it if I do and look forward to seeing yours.

      Have a great week xx
