My 3 Things...

Confessions of a Single Parent Pessimist

I can't believe a week has gone already! It doesn't seem that long ago since I was wrote my last post. I am finding these weekly posts quite helpful in focusing on certain things to improve. I admit, I'm not making huge improvements but they are enough for me to notice. Becoming aware of the problem is the first step to improving them so I'm on the right track!

3 Things That Haven't Gone Well This Week

1. I have been up late most nights this week. Pregnancy insomnia has kicked in so I'm pretty worn out, especially with the boys getting up in the night too.

2. I still haven't spent time doing any specific activities with the boys.

3. I haven't got any further with my swaps or letter writing but I have signed up for two more... Doh!

3 Things That I Want To Focus On Next Week

1. I still want to try to get more rest. That is the key to everything I think.

2. I still want to do at least one activity a day with the boys so I will keep trying.

3. I will also try to do a bit of housework each day rather than a whole day of cleaning.

3 Things That Have Gone Well This Week

1. I have started painting our bedroom and am quite impressed with the progress so far. (Can't wait to choose  some wall art for the little lady!)

2. I don't think I have shouted at the boys so much this week although I have had more time away from them!

3. I have spent time with a friend I used to work with and it has really cheered me up.

What have you been pleased about this week and what would you like to focus on? Why not join in and share it with us

  1. I'm glad you are enjoying the linky, like you I am always shocked by how quick it goes!

Really hope you manage to get more rest, don't worry about cleaning, focus on making memories with your boys and enjoying the quiet before the baby!

Well done for Starting the decorating, sounds lovely!

Hope to see you next week on #My3things
