An August Summer Swap

I recently took part in a mug swap. I had never done one before but really love receiving "real" post, so I jumped at the chance! It is such a great idea and pretty straight forward too. I did my swap with Hannah the Cupcake Mumma. She loved it too and suggested doing one. I said we could do it alternate months with different themes and here we are...

This is my first time at hosting a swap and I'm really looking forward to it!

As the weather has been so dire lately, what better theme for a swap than the Summer Sun?! I tried to think of something relatively inexpensive, that is useful and can brighten your day. Yup, fridge magnets! I can't think of a single home I've been to that doesn't have one or two clinging to the fridge. I love the funny quotes or holiday finds that we have brought home. I thought they would be perfect for the first part of my "Sunny Swap".

I have been feeling quite creative lately and thought the second part of the swap could be to make something Sunny or with a Summer theme. I have made a board on Pinterest with some ideas on (Some are for me to do with the kids, but I'm sure you can work out which ones!) so I hope that helps. Anything that grabs your fancy or try something new. Experiment a little, you might just find a new talent or hobby!

If you want to take part in the swap please leave your name, blog and email in the comments box. I would like everyone to post their swaps in the last week of August before the holidays are over. With that in mind I will close entries for the swap on Monday 20th August. This means everyone will have a week to get creative before posting their swap. I will make sure everyone has someone to swap with. If you have any questions leave a comment, email or tweet and I'll reply asap.

Lets spread some sunshine this summer!

I should point out that this is a UK based swap. If you live overseas you must take into account the postal charges unless you find another swapper in your country to sign up.
