Olaf

While I was recovering from my operations after having my little girl, I had to think of things that would entertain and occupy two little boys. The Christmas Tree was a great project and the boys loved doing it so I wanted to do another project along the same lines. Due to the popularity of Disneys Frozen with both of them,  I decided to try and make an Olaf snowman to use as a Christmas decoration.
Using the last bit of lining paper, I drew an outline using Baby boys projector torch. I was quite pleased with the result.

I had bought a bag of cotton wool balls to decorate him with. The boys had great fun and ended up with white fluffy fingers!

Unfortunately, I had over looked the fact that once covered with cotton wool, you couldn't see the original drawing (I know it's obvious but not to an overtired, poorly Mumma!).

I decided to cut out his features from the left over lining paper and the boys could colour them in. Digging out a couple of black pens, they got to work.

I had some brown paint, so baby boy painted Olafs buttons while middle man did a great job on his carrot nose! I painted his twiggy arms to avoid any fighting between the boys, then we left him to dry on the table.
While the boys had a nap, I cut outsome snowflake shapes using a cookie cutter and sparkly card. They looked great and added to our Olad scene perfectly.
I stuck all hispainted parts on and cut out his arms so when the boys came down he was ready to put up on the door.

I am so pleased with how he turned out and we all really enjoyed making him too. I think we will definitely be more crafty from now on and can't wait to make next years tree too
