Listography - Loony Tunes

This weeks Listography with Kate Takes 5 is The Six Songs of Me. I likes me tunes although, I will be the first to admit to having a rather varied, eclectic taste. Seeing the title I couldn't resist joining in and revisiting some of my old faves!

Without further ado:

1. What was the first song you ever bought?

I know I bought a few singles but I can't remember what the first one was. The first album I bought was by Poison called Flesh and Blood. I thought Brett Micheals was rather cute in a 'not as rough as Axel kind of way'.

2. What song always gets you dancing?

Hmmm.... Not being a very boppy chick, this is a tricky one. Anything with a catchy beat a guess.
There is one song that always, ALWAYS reminds me of going to Zumba with the Corporal and making an idiot of myself. We laughed so much and I loved it! I know she will roll her eyes if she sees this ;o)

3. What song takes you back to your childhood?

Has to be a John Denver hit like Annies Song or Leaving on a Jet Plane. This one is my favourite!

4. What is your perfect love song?

Oh my, there are so many to choose from!! Beyonce - Halo is our wedding song, Whatever it takes - Celine Dion, Everything - by the gorgeous Michael Buble (my husbands song) but I really love the lyrics to this one. In Her Eyes by Josh Groban. I love this video from Lord of the Rings too, I think they go together perfectly (and Viggo is just flippin' lush!!)

5. What song would you want at your funeral?

It would have to be this song, without a doubt. I was told it was my anthem, being the bright, breezy youngster I was!! I love it and it is pretty apt for me. I want everyone in the brightest colours they can find and people in black wont be allowed in. I'd rather people had a party for me than a wake, there is enough sadness about "and it's time to feel good!!"

6. The encore. Name one song that makes you, you.

Well, I would have said "Walking on Sunshine" but on the other hand, this song really means a lot to me too. I have loved it since I first heard it. When I became a healer I realised what a real mess we were all in, all over the world. I felt totally overwhelmed, that I wouldn't be able to make a big enough difference. Luckily, I was given some advice by my teacher and very good friend. She said "Don't try to heal the world." She was right. We all need to do that, together.

So what are your six songs? Write them down and link them up over on Kates blog (link's at the top) x
